What to wear?

If you’re planning a trip to WOKA, knowing what to wear for safety and comfort is important. Life jacket, whitewater helmet, and secure footwear (no flip flops) are required on the course and provided with all rentals. You should prepare to get completely wet, so please wear quick-drying and comfortable clothing. You’ll also need secure footwear to protect your feet during your float.

What payment types are accepted at WOKA?

WOKA is a cashless park, and only accepts cards and Apple Pay.

Is WOKA kid friendly?

Most rentals are 13+ but children under 18 must be accompanied with an adult.

While we provide beginner-friendly options, visitors should be prepared for a challenging adventure with plenty of opportunities to get wet, tired, and even a little scraped up. We want to emphasize that our course is a true whitewater environment, and visitors should participate at their own risk.

Can I bring a cooler?

Yes, but alcohol is prohibited.

Are there food and drinks available at the park?

Concessions are available in the park on a seasonal basis.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes, personal food and drink are allowed.

Can I bring alcohol?

WOKA is an alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free park.

Can I bring my pet to WOKA?

Well-behaved pets are welcome. All pets must be on a leash and attended to. Pets are not allowed in the whitewater channel.

What are the park amenities?

WOKA has 8 whitewater features, seasonal rentals, shop and concessions, and shaded viewing. Changing and restrooms are onsite and mountain bike trails are nearby.

Are there bathrooms at the park?

The park has restrooms, changing areas, and an outdoor shower.

Can I drop off friends and family at the park if the lot is full?

Drivers who enter the park are required to pay the parking fee whether or not they stay. Entry gate will not open when park is at capacity.

What types of vessels are accepted at the park?

Whitewater-specific vessels are required. Pool floats and motorized vessels are not allowed.

Can I bring my own kayaks or rafts?

Yes, personal vessels designed for whitewater are allowed.

Does the park stay open if it’s raining?

WOKA will not close during rain. During flood water events and inclement weather, the park will close. To stay current with park closings, check the Visit Woka Facebook and/or Instagram pages.

What do I need to bring?

It’s recommended to bring sunscreen, towels and a change of clothes. When renting equipment, lifejackets and whitewater helmets are provided. Swimsuits and secure footwear are a must. WOKA is cashless, so bring credit or debit cards for entry, rentals and concessions.

Safety

Are there age or weight restrictions?

Yes. Tubing: Ages 9+ must fit youth PFD (min 55-90 lbs) or universal PFD (must fit into a whitewater-specific helmet).

All other Vessels: Age 13+ unaccompanied must fit youth PFD (min 55-90 lbs) or universal PFD (must fit into a whitewater-specific helmet).

What safety gear is required to experience WOKA?

Protective clothing, US Coast Guard approved Life jacket, whitewater-specific helmet, and secure footwear (no flip flops) are required at WOKA.

Does WOKA provide life jackets?

Life jackets and whitewater helmets are provided with all rentals.

Can I bring my own life jacket?

Yes. Lifejackets should be US Coast Guard approved, proper fit, and in good condition.

Are life jackets mandatory?

Life jackets, whitewater-specific helmets, and secure footwear (no flip flops) are required in the whitewater course.

Does WOKA provide helmets?

Whitewater helmets are provided with rentals.

Is there a lifeguard or a first aid station?

There are no lifeguards on duty in the park. WOKA does not have a first aid station. In the event of an emergency, call 911.

Rentals

How many people fit in a family tube?

Our family tubes fit 2-4 people depending on weight. The maximum weight for the family tube is 600 lbs.

How old do you have to be to ride in a vessel?

Rental tube age requirement is 9+. All other rental vessels are 13+ unaccompanied. There is no minimum age requirement if one is riding in multi-person vessels; however, children must be large enough to fit into a whitewater specific helmet, youth PFD (55-90lbs), and be wearing secure footwear.

Can I bring my phone in the raft?

We recommend that you don’t take any valuables on the river.

What are your cancellation policies?

Parking

Where do I park if the parking lot is full?

WOKA has additional parking near the entrance gates that can also accommodate buses, trailers, and other oversized vehicles. If the park is at capacity we cannot allow additional vehicles into the park.

Do you have to pay for parking?

Parking is $10 per vehicle. There is no charge to use the features at WOKA when the park is open for those who use the hike/bike trail to enter the park or paddle in from upstream. No parking allowed along Twin Falls Road. Violators will be subject to fines and towing.

What are the parking lot hours?

Parking lot hours are the same as park hours (8 a.m. – dusk). No overnight parking is permitted.
